WHTA Motion
Prohibits TWHBEA-Sponsored
Clinics/Seminars
In a
unanimous decision of the Board of
Directors, the Walking Horse Trainers’
Association (WHTA) voted to endorse the
judges and DQP programs of the National
Horse Show Commission (NHSC) after the
Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and
Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA)
released information to show managements
throughout the nation that directly
competes with the activities of the NHSC,
of which the WHTA comprises one half of
the organization.
The motion, made by Ronnie Spears and
seconded by Mickey McCormick, stated
that WHTA or Board member Wayne Dean
could not participate in any way in a
TWHBEA-sponsored judges’ seminar or HIO
clinic.
Dean also serves as a TWHBEA Executive
Committee member.
“TWHBEA is directly competing against
the WHTA by this action,” said Wink
Groover, WHTA President. “We are a part
of the NHSC and will work with horse
shows around the country to provide
certified DQPs and judges for their
shows.”
The motion made by the Board member via
conference call this morning goes into
effect immediately. |
