2004 Auxiliary Member of the Year

Congratulations to Beth Lawwell on being voted the 2004 Auxiliary Member of the Year! No one works harder for the Auxiliary than Beth. She has served as an officer for the last 4 years. Beth was presented the award at the annual Trainers Banquet in December. BETH WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!

Scholarship Deadline

The Auxiliary Scholarship deadline is May 30, 2005. Contact Beth Thomas for an application. She can be reached at 931-389-6825 (home). We offer three scholarships: $2500 Overall Award, $2500 Financial Need Award and $2500 Auxiliary Member/Family.

The High Point Awards have become a much sought after title. For 2004, the Gold High Point Award went to Joyce Marie Green. The Silver Award went to Dru McCormick and the Bronze Award was won by Jill Derickson. In addition, congratulations to Dru McCormick for winning the Auxiliary class at the Celebration!! Congratulations to these ladies for their outstanding successes in the show ring.
 

WHOO

In 2004, the Auxiliary donated $7000 to 7 therapeutic riding programs. The proceeds from the Money Tree Classic are used to help support these riding programs.
Each of the programs utilizes Tennessee Walking Horses and is associated with the project Walking Horses Overcoming Obstacles (WHOO). For more information on WHOO please contact Freda Dean, chairperson. The following are the programs which the Auxiliary helped to support:

Merit Award Winners

Merit Award winners for 2004 were Patti and Tim Gray. From the time that Don & Lucky Collins generously donated Mud Slide Slim to the Auxiliary, Tim and Patti have given him excellent care at Sand Creek Farm. Mud has lived at Tim and Patti’s home barn for most of this time. The care of Mud has always been provided at no expense to the Auxiliary by Tim and Patti. Tim has said “When something or someone gives you as much as Mud has us, you give of yourself back to them.” Patti and Tim were presented the Merit Award on the last Friday night at the Celebration in front of approximately 30.000 people. At this time, Tim lead Mud into the ring and they all three received a standing ovation.

Tim and Patti we are grateful to you as well as being PROUD of you all three!!
