The newly-formed Performance Show Horse Association (PSHA) held its first board meeting on March 1, 2013. The roughly eight-hour meeting of the partial board, there are still three to four seats to be filled with independent representatives, focused on the formation of committees, normal business filing decisions such as banking, office help, etc., and funding models. Terry Dotson was named interim Chairman until the full board is seated at which point officers will be elected.

Until a permanent location is decided upon, temporary office space will be used and Rachel Reed will serve as the contact. Existing industry rules and fees will apply until the rules committee can meet and blend the show rules.

A lot was accomplished and discussions took place to nominate potential committee members, hiring of an executive director, continuation of public relations and lobbying efforts and drafting of meaningful legislation. Advertising for the Executive Director will begin immediately.
