2010 Trainer Show Rules & Regulations
March 17 -20, 2010
Calsonic Arena - Shelbyville, Tennessee
1. SHOW AFFILIATION:
All horses will be exhibited and judged under the rules and regulations of SHOW, Inc.
2. WHTA RIDERS CUP CLASSES:
Classes: 3, 11, 51, 57, 60, 62, 68, 70, 74, 77, 85
3. FAXED ENTRIES:
Entries may be faxed by Noon during the Horse Show:

4. TELEPHONE POLICY:
We cannot always be reached by telephone, but the Horse Show office staff has many jobs to prepare for that nights classes and it is very important that we have a cut off time for entries or scratches. If you cannot reach us by 11:30 am we suggest you drop by the show office or make changes the night before (exception Wednesday night classes). Calsonic Arena Show Office number is 931/ 685-9434.
5. SCRATCHED ENTRIES:
ANY ENTRY NOT SCRATCHED BY NOON ON THE DAY IT IS TO SHOW WILL PAY FULL ENTRY FEE. NO EXCEPTIONS. SCRATCHES AFTER NOON EACH DAY
1/2 ENTRY FEE REFUNDED ONLY.
6. MORE THAN ONE TRAINER IN A BARN:
If a barn has MORE THAN ONE TRAINER, each entry must list the trainer that is responsible for that entry. EACH TRAINER MUST HAVE THEIR OWN ENTRY FORMS AND A CHECK TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN ENTRIES. WINNINGS WILL BE MADE PAYABLE TO THE TRAINER OR STABLE NAME LISTED ON THE FORM. BE SURE THE SHOW OFFICE HAS YOUR CORRECT SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OR FEDERAL ID NUMBER AND ADDRESS.
7. STALL RESERVATIONS/CHARGES:
Stall rental fee is $75 per stall. Tack rooms will also be $75. ALL STALLS MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO SHOW. THE MOST HORSES YOU HAVE ON THE GROUNDS IN ONE NIGHT IS THE AMOUNT OF STALLS YOU WILL NEED. NO STALL REFUNDS WILL BE MADE! IF CROSSTIES ARE USED WITHOUT A STALL RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED $75 FOR THE USE OF THE CROSSTIES. 8. HEALTH CERTIFICATE/COGGINS:
All horses must have a current Coggins test. (6 months to a year).
9. SPLIT CLASSES:
Classes with 40 or more entries will be split. Fine Harness and Driving classes will be split with more than 15 entries. Championship classes of any sort will NOT be split.
10. LOST BACK NUMBERS:
Please be sure to keep up with your back numbers. The back number stays with the horse and not the rider.
11. THERE WILL BE NO QUALIFYING FOR ANY CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS.
12. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES TO THE CLASS SCHEDULE.
No refunds will be made on horses that do not pass pre-show inspection.
No stall refunds. Scratches after Noon each day 1/2 entry fee refund only.
14. INSPECTION AREA:
Only three people will be allowed to go through the DQP inspection station with horse.
(Groom, trainer and exhibitor)
15. CLASS 8 (PRO/AM CLASS, SPECIALTY): The Amateur will ride the first way around the ring, get off then the Professional will ride the second way around the ring. Step stool will be provided in center ring.
16. CLASS 83 (FRANCES C. GENTRY LADIES, SPECIALTY CHAMPIONSHIP): is open to Mares, Geldings and Stallions.

18. TRAINERS / SHOW HORSE CARD NUMBERS:
When making entries, you must have a valid Trainers license card number (issued by WHTA) listed as well as all horse’s registration numbers and required SHOW horse card numbers (issued by SHOW, Inc.).
No horse will be permitted in the ring unless all fees of the trainer / exhibitor have been paid in full or a signed blank check has been left in the show office. All entry fees include the affiliation fees charged by SHOW, Inc. and WHTA Riders Cup.
20. TRAINERS FEES:
NO trainer who is qualified to be a member of the Trainers Association will be allowed to show unless he/she is a PAID UP MEMBER AND IN GOOD STANDINGS.
21. W.H.T.A. RIDERS CUP MEMBERSHIP: If you show in any W.H.T.A. Rider Cup class, you are eligible for Rider Cup points.
All debts owed to the Trainers Association must be PAID IN FULL in order to exhibit at the Trainers Show that includes all Trainers, Owners and Exhibitors.
There is NO smoking allowed in the Calsonic Arena.
No pets are allowed in the Calsonic Arena.
25. GENERAL ADMISSION:
$8.00 per night, Wednesday – Thursday, $10.00 per night, Friday - Saturday. Children 6 and under - Admitted free. Reserve seats upon request.
26. VIDEO TAPING:
There will be a video representative available for your convenience to order videos.
27. PARKING PERMITS:
Additional parking permits are available at the Calsonic horse show office for $25 each. Each trainer making entries will receive one free parking pass. If working out of your trailer, you must purchase a TRAILER PASSES for $50. The pass must be displayed in the front window. IF YOU HAVE STALLS, YOU DO NOT NEED A TRAILER PASS.
28. FEDERAL DISQUALIFICATION:
Persons on federal disqualification cannot transport horses to this show and can participate ONLY as a SPECTATOR.
29. SHOW HIO SUSPENSIONS:
The SHOW HIO recently met and altered the requirements of many of the violations within their penalty protocol. Beginning immediately, only violations that have a suspension of more than one year will carry a suspension from the showgrounds. In addition to suspensions of more than one year, other violations that carry “special circumstances” may include suspension from the showgrounds.
In order for persons on suspensions from SHOW to attend SHOW affiliated events, that person will have to check in at the DQP station upon their arrival to the showgrounds. They must then immediately leave the warm-up area and will not be allowed to be in the warm-up area, trailer area or participate in the coaching of any exhibitor while on the showgrounds. If a suspended person violates these conditions, an additional six months will be added to their suspension and reviewed by the SHOW board.
The National Walking Horse Trainers Show or the Walking Horse Trainers Association will not be responsible or liable for any article of any nature or kind that may be lost, stolen, destroyed, or injury that may be occasioned to any person whomsoever by any horse or pony exhibited, and such horses or ponies exhibitor shall indemnify the Trainers Show or Walking Horse Trainers Association against all claims or demands of any nature or kind which may arise from the negligence of the person in charge of such horse or pony.
31. WEANLING / YEARLINGS: All weanling and yearlings will utilize the Champion’s Arena for warm up purposes.
32. THE NATIONAL WALKING HORSE TRAINERS SHOW OR WALKING HORSE TRAINERS ASSOCIATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ORDER OF CLASSES AND TO CANCEL ANY CLASS IF ENTRIES ARE NOT ADEQUATE.
